Call it liability if you like, but there's a gaping and ever widening hole currently at $90 trillion of unfunded medicare and social security staring the US in the face.
Also another problem the US and Australia etc.. must face is people reaching retirement age will find that their decimated super funds are not going to be adequate.
so the governments will need to make up the gap there too - good luck with a shrinking labour market and economy.
Big looming debt problems on the horizon .. where will this money come from ?
Japan has savings and surpluses .. so no problem in comparison
to the US and Australia .. contries that may be living on borrowed time ?
