i watched the fight live on fox, the fight itself was a ripper.

young Kickett is a true up and coming talent and imo is lining up to take the reign from "the man" mundine at some stage in his future career. I am a Danny Green fan and would love nothing better than to see this perth lad better mundines accomplishments. remeber this kid has only had 14 boughts now and only lost this one. Some said it was a lucky punch, personally i think it was a combination of Kicketts memory lax and the determination and experience of Elmore. Kickett was moving in for the kill however as he often does his hands drop and the Elmore punch was timed and packed power and precision, obviously, as we saw kickett could not get up. A great lesson for the young bloke and one that should make him a much better fighter as he should now take on a more protective guard.
I definately would love to see a re-mach.

As for the festivities of the night, yes very sad, however i ask the question to imperial who are you referring to with 'look who's involved'??

From the limited viewing i had on fox, from what the commentator relayed and from the ensuing media articles i believe it was the hanger's on of the Elmore team that sparked this disgrace as they stormed the ring with Kickett still dazed lying on the ground. The fighters welfare is of uptmost concern.

To the credit of the direct Elmore team, Hussein boys etc moved quickly to protect Kickett and usher the 'clingers' out. Both teams seemed very professional and it was reported that members of both camps as well as Angelo Hyder (the promoter) moved to restore calm amoungst the crowd.

Basically imo neither camp was responsible but their distant entourage should be held accountable and no doubt will be.

    regards
    Davo
