I am trying to find an excusable reason for the delay in resource announcement. Could it be that they were waiting for a result from Gilded Rose before they released a number, i.e. not have a number with Gilded Rose and a second number without - would reporting rules require only one definitive number?
Maybe Monday will be a combined resource statement and capital raising to proceed with Mt Freda?

It seems the Soldiers Cap and Toole Creek volcanics in this region of the Eastern Fold belt were part of the third stage of mineral deposition which was the period of the most gold and copper mineralisation - following the large granite Williams and Naraku Batholith intrusions.

Possibly why the likes of Oz Minerals and Sirius are combining to further explore the area, for large deposits under cover of extensive historical folding and faulting.

The final conclusion from Case 2016 (which admittedly is specific to the E1 group just east of Ernest Henry) , is that there could be more decent sized deposits within 120k of Ernest Henry as similar geology from each of the three depositional periods exists.

Plenty of reports on the region. Wonder if more big discoveries will follow.
