It's great that they have a 60 day due diligence period to assess this opportunity and I'm sure they'll use every last day in doing just that.
Unfortunately the uncertainty surrounding whether a transaction will occur will probably weigh heavily on the share price at times during this period especially around the level of funding needed by NCZ for working capital to finance operations during the ramp-up period to positive cashflow and whether all that finance will purely be debt finance without further equity contribution.
Vale might be providing the balance of the $500mil not yet spent on the upgrade to the MHP plant but won't be covering operating losses from the date of takeover to completion of the plant and the ramp-up period.
