Well I’m not saying one couldn’t do that - as a matter of fact it would’ve made sense to do so especially if you wanted to crystallise some losses and essentially reset your cost base.
I’m not 100% sure if all retail holders were thinking
along those lines that’s all. Morningstar were expecting 50% retail take up...My guesstimate is that it would be slightly higher than that, but I’m not convinced that you’ll see full take up of the offer.
Again, this is not based on any science, just a general comment based on what I think may occur.
Anyway, we’ll find out on Friday.
