Geez mate that’s a question and a half. It is an extremely efficient energy with great short term gains as a short term earth low pollutant.
To be honest I really haven’t done enough research into the down stream effects when it comes to decommissioning and where the waste ends up.

Others here might have a broad and researched view.

However it has been promoted for years as a solution to the expected energy shortage should the electric revolution get some serious traction.

But who would seriously want a nuclear reactor in their backyard, that’s what I tend to think about.
