I had a tree when I was married all those years ago. They are magnificent and must be eaten when very ripe.
It produced a massive amount of fruit and so too did an old fig tree. I loved those figs and the tree looked just wonderful
in winter.
But then again I love fruit. Nothing like a fruit platter for breakfast. So good for bowels.
Then there was an apricot tree in the next house after I separated. Again I just loved the fruit. Even my favourite neighbour
only got about 6 per year of them. You can cut out bird pecks and wash the fruit because I really don't like seeing birds
tangled in netting. I have never netted a fruit tree. If the possums want a nibble that's fine too. They used to love my kiwi
fruit.
