How do you figure that Mr G ?
Jesus wasn't speaking with people 2000 yrs (and still counting) in the future. He was speaking with those present .... at that time.

It is self serving to claim the punch line you have and interpret this so it can be applied to your times. Clearly no such claim was
made by Jesus. The generation was that of those to whom he was speaking.

Do you really believe that of all the billions upon billions of humans that have inhabited Earth for eons upon eons, that it is your fleeting generation and JW collection of naive hopefuls that the Creator of the Universe has bestowed a special place and task ?
This sort of naive self centred view is understandable when 99% of people knew nothing of the rest of the world and lived and died a few miles from their birthplace, but in this time it is quite ridiculous.

Of course this difficult truth is dismissed as "mocking" or "Satan's lies etc.

Your Jehovah has installed Jesus as "King" .. already for over 100 yrs, but still insists untold millions of innocents must continue to suffer and die just so the JW can churn out sufficient "Good news" info and preach it to all those far flung peoples who mostly reject it in any case. All this so they can reach their target of "preach to all the peoples of the World."
Something BTW that can never happen in practice.

Only when the JW have fulfilled this imaginary task will the Creator allow the "conclusion of things".

Copper, Jesus told his illustration in the Northern hemisphere spring of 33 CE. Fig trees were near to sprouting. Peter,Andrew ,James and John were the only ones present.He was not giving them a botany lesson. Over the following decades his words were reported by disciples that were not present but recognized the point of his illustration. Those that would see the things happening at an unspecified future time should easily recognize ''he is near at the doors''.

(Matthew 24:32, 33) “Now learn this illustration from the fig tree: Just as soon as its young branch grows tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near. 33 Likewise also you, when you see all these things, know that he is near at the doors.

People are perceptive ... but for many only if it suits them.
