Interesting day. Still in bullish short term territory.
However we saw an interesting development later in the day on the hourly. The second last trading hour to 1500 saw the days high on the days highest hourly volume. However a very short term negative occurred during that hour. That may be the reason the final hour saw a slight SP fall on lower volume. Traders usually do not buy on negative divergences.
Mondays are when the weekend investors/traders put their weekend research/decisions into action and they tend to act earlyish. We got a short term buy signal on early enthusiasm today.
Lucretious picked up a bull Pennant on the hourly which broke out upwards on Friday - well done. Plenty of traders trade them. See the link below to calculate the target price. If the conditions are right these are terrific to trade. Important to remember this is a very short term hourly chart not the daily.
Its wait and see. Tomorrow however is another day and will be interesting, especially the first hour or two. As I said earlier the short term trend is bullish and odds generally favour the bigger timeframe.
For what its worth recent below gaps on the hourly that may be filled at some point are at 7.2, 6.5 and 5.8. Gaps are often (but not always) filled, especially on specs driven up primarily by traders. We have all been caught out holding during a pullback after a trading frenzy. Oh, and gaps do not come with timeframes for filling, some never get filled, eg great ann takes the SP to permanent higher levels. Some take week, months or even years to fill. A lot of traders trade gaps.
