rgdk, with all due respect imo you are confusing intrinsic worth with daily market noise and irrational fear.

To counter your negative comment, "What if gold fell $50 overnight?" which might I add is to be expected (lol) when investors are scared witless from severe market corrections, I shall add, "What if gold rises $50 overnight?" "What if gold rises $100 overnight?" Now that balances the equation a little better. Surely you must agree?

A company can be massively undervalued and "a steal" and yet still keep falling in price. Similarly a company can continue to be massively overvalued and still keep rising in price.

The key imo to successful long term investing is to purchase an asset that one correctly evaluates as being substantially undervalued and NOT to get shaken out by dthe aily fluctuations and the daily market noise of the punters, many of whom are long term losers.

In fact, that is the same approach as taken by Warren Buffet.
