re: ex entitlement ?? "okay can someone clarify this for me? I'M entitled to the offer so I bought 5000 shares today.

When it goes ex div how many shares will I have at what price? I thought I knew what I was i doing but not so sure after reading all the threads."

You won't be entitled to the offer on the 5,000 shares that you bought today.

You will be entitled to 5 for every 13 shares that you bought and held before today.

I think I might be getting where you're coming from, and the cause of confusion. As a 'noob' are you aware that you do not do anything at all on market in relation to an entitlement offer? You will get an offer in the mail and then decide whether you want to participate, and send off a cheque for $2.50 per share that you want to take up.

The 5,000 shares that you bought today have no relationship to the entitlement offer whatsoever. You will pay what you committed to on-market, and they will have no rights entitlement attached. You will receive a dividend on the ones you bought today, provided you hold until the 18th Nov.
