The live export debate is not as simple as some make out, I know a bit of both sides of the debate and IMO they both have valid arguments
A ship in Fremantle was loaded with sheep when a heap of the crew got Covid, the ships departure was delayed and since it didn't depart by 1st of June it was not allowed to leave as live exports are not allowed during the northern summer, they applied for an exemption but it was denied.
Farmers are not happy, these are old sheep and weathers (castrated rams) that have little value in Australia.
