So knowing that, can you explain what the benefit is of buying options if the difference in price between the share price and options price is less than the strike price?
E.g. at the moment:
SP = 3.1c
OP = 1.4c
Difference is less than 3c.
100,000 shares now = $3,100 outlay
100,000 options now = $1,400 + another $3,000 later to convert to shares so $4,400 outlay for the same qty of shares in the end.
I know for sure this must be a silly question and I'm being laughed at, but just trying to get my head around it.
