    There is a term called "pressure height" also where the pressure equates to a height AMSL on earth in an ISA standard atmosphere.

    An interesting phenomenon is that Venus and Earth have a similar atmospheric temperature where the atmosphere has the same pressure.

    Venus has a much deeper atmosphere though so at ground level the atmosphere of venus is at much greater pressure. On venus virtually no sunlight reaches the ground due to the clouds.

    The pioneer probe measured the temp vs pressure on venus and this is compared to earth below
