Same same in PNG
In my 15 years there I saw many an incident where the PNG police just dealt with their own.
I watched in a riot one night in 1994 early evening from my unit balcony on the hill above Koki Village in Port Moresby.
There were explosions, pop pop sounds of gunfire, fires burning thru the night.
Next day, 8 houses destroyed, 5 people shot and killed by the police.
One week later - all forgotten, it never happened.
