Epsilonminus - as a qualified accountant working in the field you will discover down the track that a large amount of theory you soak and up regurgitate in your undergraduate years means bugger all in the real world, you can quote any Accounting Standard you want and there is a counter argument generally just as valid.
You may want to head back to the books and worry about the sharemarket and downramping when you can scrape two coins together.
