There's no argument here, fee log. Macquarie and everyone else is allowed to use internally-generated goodwill to cushion their CGUs. Period. It just goes to show: even accountants can't read everything correctly.
And you must be a very junior accountant (no offence) if you have the time to waste arguing with an undergraduate on a forum full of hacks (I include myself) who don't know the basics.
