How about you go to see your doctor and explain how it effected you - and ask if you can have the vaccine .

I had shingles - twice. A few years ago .
It changes you forever , a terrible year.
Noone can understand. Snowball other effects & debilitating & sleep robbing really . You avoid people as just feel so bad . At least can study shares and work out how to get off the bandwagon that got one there ? I hope. And please take care of you . Please .
Reach out for yourself anyway -
** You can have the shingles vaccine - if you have not had shingles in the last 12 months **
Worth every dollar of the $100-200 or so that it costs !
Under the age of 60 they do not routinely prescribe it - but it is very worth it for anyone here , even from around 50, perhaps if under a lot of stress and arduous work hours for instance.

    I draw parallels with covid - 19 .
People likely underestimate what it can be like to get a bad case of it . ( CV19 - if get sick )

I recommend the shingles vaccine to all .
I actually sought out & had the vaccine in March . I thought I could not stand to get a recurrence of shingles with say covid 19 . Got to be able to look after family as well , manage health and well- being .
Instead we have been ultra lucky here in Australia and covid getting under control .

And I will get off my soapbox! Apologies .
But only advice is - people do not want to get shingles or any other virus including the flu , and then have their immune systems weakened .
Would then not be grand to encounter the coronovirus or need to cope with other life events.

As Prof Ian Frazer says : (paraphrased )—
People are recommended to have as many vaccinations which are available , if possible; to prevent catching any distressing and potentially very dangerous illness . Which is why we generate vaccines . Vaccines and excellent knowledge and treatments are what keeps our communities safe , and are the goal also in developing countries .

Vaccines are by far and away the best treatment ( prevention).
We don’t want people to get the condition , the virus or even a cancer , or injury in the first instance.
They do not prevent 100% . Can’t immunise against misfortune and injures .

Of course as relates to mesoblast.
Mesoblast to me have a broad new paradigm of stem cell treatments for many acute inflammatory conditions. 20+ years in the developing & a multi decade evolution ahead which we wait to see how unfolds. Much is in place with the best JVs .

Life threatening cases of covid - as focus and GVHD nearly to approvals in the US . Other seriously life-limiting & work-limiting chronic conditions - CLBP and heart conditions of course also to be starters .
I had to reply sir . I do understand .
