Something I was curious about at the time was who has access to eLodgment information on the ASX side, I assume on the company side it is some nominated people in snr management. Anyhow, putting this whole ISX saga to the side for a moment.

    An Example:
There is a company 'XYZ' that is waiting on some 'Good News'.
If there is no 'Good News' then more likely then not 'XYZ' will make no announcement
If there is anything at all placed into eLodgement by the company, it more likely then not going to be the 'Good News'

Now, I believe it's the case that an eLodgement is made, and it sits there waiting for approval by the ASX. It may be requesting a trading halt, or it may just be some positive news, but still considered not market sensitive.

If I am 'John Smith' working at the ASX and I tell my mate 'Peeps' that 'XYZ' has just made an eLodgement, even if 'Peeps' doesn't know the contents of the eLodgement, that is still very, very useful information. Because 'Peeps' knows that this is very likely the 'Good News' that the market has been waiting for.

Anyone here familiar with the way this eLodgment works and is able to shed some more light on this? I would have thought there would be absolutely zero tolerance within the ASX for dissemination of this information. Even just the knowledge that a company has attempted to make an eLodgement is highly sensitive info, No?
