I still fail to see why this US paranoia about gold. It's crazy. It's absurd. It's beyond belief.

The US should do us all a favour.

Let gold trade 100% free from any paper market downramps and tell us that gold is irrelevant to them and their financial system and tell us gold indicates nothing and simply say they want the market price of gold to be quoted in euros to take away all the attention from the US dollar etc.

It's that simple really.
