    If the Oceana FTAA is anything like the Metals Ex FTAA 04-2009--II (extract below) and I suspect it is, any dispute over an extension if not settled goes to arbitration (Clause 16). Under this FTAA they are allowed to continue to operate for one year on existing conditions beyond the Term of the FTAA whilst negotiating.
