If you want belong to a group, participate in the activities of that group and be respected here's a few tips:

1.You should observe how the members of that group interact with each other and seek to emulate their behaviour.

2.Familarise yourself with the underlying principles and beliefs of the group.

3.Decide whether or not these beliefs are compatible with your subject position.

4. If they are introduce yourself in a pleasant and friendly manner...

What not to do:

Burst into the group, expecting to be accepted, whilst denouncing the basic tenets of the group and all those who follow them....
