Grant, good luck, but it sounds as if you need a little more diversification... ? future generation would have been OK (don’t know that I would have put the loan on the house tho), but a risky move borrowing to that degree on LSF ?
I don’t know IF they would have been concerned about their participation in the buy back....I simply don’t know, but I have constantly commented here on the comprehensiveness and depth of their research in their monthly reports... perhaps they produce better results in tumultuous times like these, rather than the market progressively rising prior to COVID19.
My cost price is approx $1.45, so I don’t have the significant loss that others do, altho I do have the same degree of loss in other LICs, and I feel your pain. I’m Quite sure that there was a line of credit or the loan was collateralised rather than from their own pocket, but they must have known that their system works to take that degree of risk.
But yeah..... you pays your money and you takes your chances....... just like the managers of LSF.
Lets all hope that we have our money on a winner.
