Gee, in case you have not looked its not far off that now (3350). We should be at 3000 in a few days at this rate.
I reckon we are in uncharted territory which makes it very hard to predict based on past experiences.
As for the gap? I find it difficult to believe in gap theory. IMO gaps get filled because stocks naturally move up and down. Stocks don't move up or down just because there is a gap there. Surly that's common sense?
