Tesla and BMW are both moving towards a new type of battery which uses 50% of nickel and 30% of magnesium which South32 does.
Many more electric car makers likely to go this same route.
The new battery is said to last one million miles where a lithium battery can't recharge back to 100% and over 5 or more years needs replacing where these new batteries don't and they charge so much faster.
South32 in the coming years should be in for a good ride with its share prices.
This company more stable than AWC. AWC used to do good dividends but they are in a bit of strife at present and AWC share price never seems to break out. Its always in the $2 range where S32 over time steadily goes upwards.
