the deal would have been announced when signed ( committed) as they have an obligation via their ASX listing Rules 3.1 continuos disclosure. So whilst the deal may have been negotiated over time only locked in on commitment contract signing. But this is the date because let's face it if they did no longer like the price they negotiated they would have sought to renegotiate at last minute or not have signed the deal.
i firmly believ these type of assets ( BBP as well) are still highly desied in the current maket, look at all the recent sales to prove it. But you have not seen any company takeovers, or large property transactions. Wholesale money likes the certainty / dependability and visibility of the income streams that infrastructure assets present.
