Hi, fair comment but I think the sheer volume of data will dictate the terms here. If event-based sparsity at the edge becomes the norm as we would like to think it will, much of the volume of data (when nothing is happening) will need to be discarded. When edged devices do need to communicate over the internet why couldn't it be done so in an anonymous way so as to protect local privacy - such as e.g. a home assistant with localised intelligence not divulging the inhabitants personal details. This would be a big selling point too - as no one feels comfortable with the amount of data about each of us being harvested without our say so. It would give control back, and the market would dictate what is wanted. Privacy could be one of BRNs biggest selling points eventually, especially to the home consumer market.
