I don't know for sure that Cato is a successful trader, of course. Any more than you know that he isn't. But whether he is or he isn't, my point was that he ascribes his (claimed) success to his flexibility. Makes perfect sense to me.

It doesn't change my own approach. I first bought into MSB before Christmas at just under $2, when I had never heard of Covid, on the basis that it was moderately risky but had huge upside. Since then, it seems to me to have become significantly less risky. The Covid development was always a bonus: even if it come to nothing commercially, it will have helped to publicise and validate the science and dispel the last whiffs of the aroma of Disallowed.

I bought some more yesterday, actually, at $3.81. That was before i heard the news from the UK about this steroid treatment and I might not have done so, if I had known. On the other hand, I may well buy more again today, if the price declines to an attractive level.

I have yet to sell a single MSB share. But if I was a trader, I would probably do just as Cato says he intends to do.
