AMT/MT has been around since the 40s, but's its only been in the last 2 years that it's seen a significant uptake with industry and not as esoteric. Mostly due to better instrumentation, faster computers to run the software, improved modelling code and from the aptly named 'fingers of god' figure below which you can work out....


From previous releases going years back, there was that sense that they didn't quite understand the mineral system in the cathedrals belt. But with the new AMT/MT results have given them a better idea of how the system is behaving. That greenstone belt (which you can see in the magnetics extending south south east in the bottom figure) is starting to look like the magmatic source from which the sulphides have eventually fractionated out.



In regards to the deep drill holes, I'm not expecting us to hit sulphides yet (though if we do it will be a huge achievement). As i'd expect the more a needle in a hay patch analogy. Where the MT has found the hay patch but the eventual down hole EM will light up the needle from which a more focused and informed deep DD campaign will be done. You can sort of see that the SGQ are being quite methodological with this from the evenly space initial deep drill holes on the fig below. Which will be perfect for some high powered downhole EM and don't forget the structural + geological data from the DD core to further validate/update the system model.



Next 6 months are going to be really interesting and informative for sure. Bring it on.
