    Some interesting discussion last night.

While I sympathise with the frustrations of gsw, harvett and BB, I am more with Irp, Steinberger, Aj and GT on this one (but not completely).

Irp made a couple of spot-on posts. I particularly liked this comment:

"If I wanted my money to be invested in a company that kept the market and shareholders totally informed, I wouldn't be in SBN, they've consistently shown themselves to place little value on marketing their actions to the market. Personally I like this about the company...in an era of short-term snake oil salesmen, I perceive them to be a company looking at setting up a sustainable and profitable future"

This is true. Look at the likes of ADY, IMI and CVI lately - all spin and no substance. I know what I prefer to be on.

But having said all that, I do believe the SBN management and board have still got a lot to learn about marketing and investor relations. The board can tend to run SBN like a private company and they are open to criticism for that.
They have several times failed this year to release market sensitive information in a timely way (e.g. Avitar case, Russian government approvals, CMM deal, submission of detection study to MPS).

While I thought they had improved on investor relations recently, this appears to be a regression. This is where I agree to some extent with harvett, BB and gsw. There should be a simple press release (on Medica site and SBN's web site), an update in the product information section of the website and an ASX announcement (After all this project has been 'built up' by the company in every update since February - and the device is supposedly 'revolutionary').

But I am prepared to reserve judgement until next week. There may be a perfecly reasonable explanation for how things have been done.

If new and substantial deals have been struck - I will be happy with that. That is much more important than any publicity.

But yes gsw, we shouldn't be treated like mushrooms.
