Altura inks lithium supply contract

Altura Mining says it has signed a five-year binding offtake agreement with Hunan Yonshan Lithium Co from January 2021 for the supply of lithium concentrate.

The deal involves a minimum supply of 60,000 dry metric tonnes per year from January 2022, with an option to agree to double supply.

Hunan Yonshan Lithium Co's owner Ningbo Shanshan owns a 15.1 per cent stake in Altura.


Altura Managing Director James Brown said: "Our customer list boasts some of the biggest and best names in the battery materials sector and adding Shanshan to that list further demonstrates the market’s increasing desire for stable, long-term, high-quality lithium concentrate supplies.”

Altura has a market value around $167 million.
