The tendor should disclose relevant information, which it hasn't. The Gov't want to make sure they get the most and best bids in. In these times that is just bad luck as Howard and Coonan sat on their rear ends for years when the economy was booming.

This is exactly why Gov't should not build infrastructure themselves. The past history shows they are very very poor at it and it ends up costing the TAXPAYER dearly. If the economy keeps shrinking where are they going to get the money!!! More taxes???

TLS can build and do it properly, as per the NextG network.
However, it is not a charity, and market rates SHOULD apply. If they are too high the consumer will vote, just like EASTLINK in Victoria, no road users.

So it is everybody's interest to get it done and done properly. TLS will bid, too much to loose.

If they don't bid then they can just build their own. The Gov't would be crazy to legislate against competitive networks, as this is the key too good democratic processes!!!
