If its any help to get a perspective, copper miners especially smaller new starters have been hammered mercilessly by this market, globally. 90% of the movement is common to all producers. Interestingly, production is being shut down in the DR Congo as we read this-some big mines, producing exactly what CMR Oxides does, but much bigger. Why? War. Prices. Risk from corrupt govt. etc.
If the fighting in Kivu moves towards Katanga, they will have to shut down mines and evacuate staff. Watch what will happen then.
A couple of months ago this blog was full of moaning about sulphuric acid prices-the end of the world blah blah. Now they are almost giving it away. The one thing you can be sure of is in few months the picture is going to be different. It could be alot better. The $A is certainly helping.
