You really like to revel in your own self-righteousnous.
Yep treat people as you would like to be treated - yep nice theory and one that I live by. HOWEVER there are many dirtbags out there that take advantage of good will and just screw you over. I have encountered more than my fair share and no matter how you like to twist it I know I am a good person towards my tenants.
I offer my tenants a good basic home that is maintained, with solar and security screens. I give my tenants lee-way in times of financial difficulty and I rent to people who can't get a rental through other means the opportunity. Now many are grateful and do the right thing because you are looking after them but some still screw you over no matter what. My last set of dirtbags skipped out just before the COVID crisis leaving the property with all the doors needing replacing and about 10 cubic meters of trash behind - despite being treated well and being looked after for years by me. Such is life you move on but these sorts of dirtbags don't deserve any pubilc or private housing and should be criminally charged with destruction of property and should have a permenant debt put against them that is more easily recoverable. Ohhh and when these dirtbags moved in she was apparently house proud - hate to see what not houseproud looks like! My rents are affordable for those on centrelink benefits but some have no idea how to manage their money - ffs in the trash left behind the guy had over $15000 in unpaid fines.
