Yes partial replacement of NdPr with LaCe has been known for a while.
The RH graphic tells several stories.
At the bottom, 2nd gen, you have "old style" magnets with a fair bit of Dy/Tb (red).
In the middle the Tb/Dy has mostly been eliminated increasing the proportion of NdPr.
Finally NdPr is back where it started as a % but the heavies have been replaced by LaCe.
You only need heavies in the very top end apps these days. (Think racehorse shoes....)
