It will get worse, 7 years ago my son was trying to rent apartment in Paris, it took about 2 months and lot of hassles to get one. He couldn't understand why as he had highly paid job. Last month he put his apartment in Paris for rent, it will take at least 2 months to get right tenants. Not because lack of interest, it is in great location and received over 50 applications. Problem is radical left over there created "social "system which is 100% against landlord. It is nearly impossible evict tenant, and rent terms is open ended.(You are not able to put rent period). Only thing what you can do apart of the bond, and 2 months rent in advance. Tenant must have rent guarantor. In my son case parents of the renters had to provide, payslips, bank accounts details, and sign guarantee of rental payments.( 10 page legal document). Few days ago my property insurance company announced for next year renewal, rental loss is excluded.... Basically what left achieved with their policy over there and it will be soon same here.It will be impossible to rent to socially disadvantaged tenant, unless government guarantee rents.
