I get what you're saying about the potentials here in terms of screening and I agree with you that the potential is there. But this isn't as open and shut as you are painting it either. Screening will require cancers to have a specific receptor that the particles can bind to. Not all receptors that we have currently identified would be amenable to this technique. What about nuclear receptors or transcription factors? Presumably the nanoparticles would not be able to bind to them. Again, I think the potential is there, particularly as our understanding of cancer pathogenesis and genomics increases and we identify more receptor types. But we aren't going to have people in 5 years having annual checkups for a variety of cancers using Magsense.
