I will move towards just where it's a bit warmer than the north of France - the boat is very warm and dry - but, it will be good to be somewhere where I don't use much fuel to keep it warm. If I find somewhere nice and with power - I might just spend several months there - depends on how nice and the price. When on power I use very little fuel - pretty much zero - whereas when on no power and it's cold, then the boat runs on diesel for heating. I don't mind cold weather - the nice days are anything above 10 degrees - no wind and no drizzle - temp isn't so important. I have a wheelhouse which has panoramic views - so, in calm weather at anything above about 12 degrees - closed up - it heats up very nicely - atm, I have double doors open and roof hatch and fwd widow open on warm days - that's good also. On boats -- it's all about weather and security. You see life and travel very differently to being on roads and staying in hotels and bnb's etc.. You see heaps of history - because this place in particular - France - was built on canals and rivers. Almost everywhere has amazing history.

...and pinto ultimately if you wanted lm guessing you could sell the boat for around what you paid for it and effectively had very cheap accomodation for all your interesting travels........
