in fact i wouldn't your opinion or anyone else's in regard to a theory i have been thinking about

say you buy a share of someone for $50 and you then sell it for $25, where does the other $25 dollars go?

or you pay $500,000 for a house and then sell it for $250,000, where does $250,000 dollars go

you can assume but not know for-sure where the seller puts his money straight after you buy the $50 share or $500,000 house, does this money get whithered away if the seller puts it into a depreciating investment or even pays off his debt to the lender who also loses a hell of a lot more money in depreciating assets?

maybe assuming the majority of profits/loses over a given period are 80% loses and 20% profits in say a real bad economy where a lot of people have lost money?

would be interested in any thought from anyone on where this money goes?
