I agree ANMA would only provide the same service in canning for their subsidiary's as the outsourced factories do. It is however unknown what services ANMA provide for their other clients like beta a2.

We know JATCORP can provide ingredients for other canning company's as part of the Ocker deal includes this. Perhaps ANMA is offering a larger service for those clients like beta a2 including things like ingredients and printed containers both of which would provide an opportunity for extra profit for ANMA than canning the subsidiary products.

I expect the subsidiary's are running of their own accounting software etc as well. Your mention of duplication is valid but the benefits may outweigh this. JAT still employs the entrepreneurs who started these subsidiary's and made them net profitable. To have them pushing hard for success in growth, particularly as they are minority holders appears to be outweighing any extra duplication expense.

Appeyard and Hopefern, Natures drops appear to be 100% JATCORP. But as you say it has not been made clear. Perhaps JATCORP's new website will clear some of this up. It should have links to all subsidiary's and their products or it will be a disappointment.

We get separate subsidiary net profits etc in the JATCORP annual reports.

I have never thought it was a better idea to rent than buy.
