Thermal coal is down from about US$194 per tonne to around US$85 per tonne on spot markets out of Newcastle. The Aussie Dollar slide adds back some, so US$85 = AUD$126.
Interesting thought on BHP interest in Felix Resources as this would give them control of coal from Moolarben (future), Ashton, Yarrabee, Minerva, Athena (future), Wilpeena(future), Harry Brandt and Phillipson.
Market Cap is only AU$1.25 billion at close on Tuesday. Cheap deal for BHP Billiton or Peabody.
