FWIW, this is how I approach things if I find myself with a stock that hasn't met my expectations,especially if I have owned it for quite a while.
I assess the stock based on what I now know, and ask myself:If I wasn't holding this stock already and given all the information I have
now, including the reasons it hasn't met expectations,would I be happy buy my first tranche right here? If the answer is yes,I hold,(or even buy more,depending on why it hasn't met expectation), If the answer is no, then, I'm out.
I attempt to perform this with as little emotional content as possible.
