Apologies if this has been posted previously, but interesting that the dementia trials in home care setting is being launched now, when COVID-19 does not seem to have been overcome yet. Does anyone know whether this is in the UK or Aus (or both?).
It makes sense when you consider that the research indicates that there were 10,000 deaths of people with dementia in England and Wales in April, with 83% more than usual. Interestingly, it is not only because they have a higher risk of dying due to their dementia, but also for other reasons (unable to cope with isolation etc.)
As such, it seems that PCK may not be as effected by COVID-19 as first thought, given the need to ensure those with dementia are well cared for and their needs understood.
