Coppo,
HC playing games again, couldn't link your post;
t's all connected wotsup, Jesus did not suddenly stop in the middle of a sentence and decide to throw in an unconnected event
.
In this case the "Kingdom" plainly refers to his preceding declaration of his return.
As I have said before, he has given them some doom and gloom and then effectively throws in a comforter to some of them.
As for suddenly stopping, throwing in another subject, direction,........if you say no, then I suggest you take a good Look at John, as this happens quite a bit.
Considering there was no chapters etc, then what the hec or how the hec do you explain the direction change to the transfiguration then?
===========
Return as in what most deem the second coming = NO WAY is that what "seeing the Kingdom of God" is saying.
He said or hinted at nothing like, I will be coming to Establish the Kingdom.
When he talks about judgement, or reward, there is zero hint of a timing for that.
I am not saying that some of the events described prior to the likes of Mark 9:1, are not part of the end events, many chapters along.

For my interest can you explain why you see a need for a meaning different from that plain and simple meaning ?
I don't mean alternative possible explanations as you have given, but why is there any need at all to find another.
I don't feel a need at all, as imo, considering the Bible on the whole, including the Kingdom subject, the matter is as clear as a bell.
But what I object to is, people falsely aligning to all those other events and their timeline.
