BHP would slide more if not for fear of the US dollar loosing its value. IMO this is supporting equities and preventing another market crash through fear of recession. "Short the dollar - go long equities", seems to be the theme atm. Our dollar is not rallying but it is climbing. So I'm inclined to think the market is more bullish than bearish atm. Asia is up 2-3% atm.
