The last 100 years has been good in the US depends on how much money you have. The disparity between rich and poor has grown so much and gun crime is rampant. Trump has made big tax breaks for the wealthy like himself and he's in the pocket of the NRA so even banning fully automatic machine guns is off the table for now.
