The entire point of Christianity is atonement for sin provided by God on your behalf.
No sin can seperate you from God's grace. That's biblical Christianity.
Christians do not claim to be without sin...only an arrogant fool would claim such a thing (except God of course, because God is perfection).
Christians claim to be sinners redeemed by a gracious and loving God. True Christians give all glory to God for their justification...they dare not look to themselves for their own salvation.
Do you see how this undercuts all pride?
Do you see how this drives out all fear of punishment?
If God is love, then he would not leave us to try to achieve our own salvation...because we can't. Any religion that says 'do this' or 'don't do that'...then you'll go to heaven...is a lie. That is true bondage.
Because God is love...like a loving dad, he helps his helpless children by doing it for them. And the children simply accept that and say, "Thanks Dad, I love you for loving me first."
Christianity is the definition of love. I have never come across another faith close to it.
