    brucey the highest official interest rate in Australia's history was 21% hit briefly during the Frazer/Howard years.

    The dicrepancy with the computers has been explained somewhat in other posts.

    The Opposition presntly is hopeless at economic policy and the shadow treasurer is on the skids in todays news.
