Cost as in you lost 20k or you missed out on profit of 20k. If you missed out on potential profit unfortunately there is no legal action there since there is no money that has been lost only a missed opportunity. Of course it would depend on the facts and circumstances. Have a look into fiduciary duties of brokers if you feel you lost money.
