Final ISIS unit sold
By Simon Binns
Shepval, the joint venture between Shepherd Development Company and Valad Property Group, has sold its final unit at ISIS on Agecroft Commerce Park in Salford.
Document management company Squirrel Storage has bought the speculatively built “Zeus” unit in a deal worth £4m.
The company acquired the 69,774 sq ft high bay warehouse as part of its expansion programme and will use the unit in tandem with its existing 50,000 sq ft facility at ISIS.
Steve Johnson, partner at the Manchester office of King Sturge, who advised on the deal, said: “To complete a freehold transaction at this level in the current market demonstrates there is still occupier confidence and continued demand for well specified units in established employment locations.”
Squirrel operates from a total of 795,000 sq ft of secure, temperature-controlled facilities in the UK with 2.2m boxes of records under management.
